Controller Joystick maintenance

If I use the joystick on my RA Controller Plus it has a difficult time turning itself off even though it has returned to center position. The result is rapid cycling on the display and it is effectively unusable. In time the cycling stops, but I want the controller reliability back again.

Are there contacts inside that can be cleaned to eliminate corrosion? Can the joystick be recalibrated to zero?

Open it up and see if it is getting stuck anywhere.
It recalibrates every time it boots up.

Most joystick functionality restored. Cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner and 3 of 4 vectors are stable. Resoldered the battery holder, so now the battery can do its job. Is it possible to replace the joystick if needed?

You would need to desolder the existing one and solder a new one.
If you need a replacement joystick, let me know.
