Good morning,
Hooked up my new rope leak detector. Had to turn down the sensitivity all the way to the left. It chirps every now and then and I can see the red led come on very briefly. I have it programmed to shut off my ports . It does however not shut them off when it chirps. The rope is running inside my cabinet around the inside edge. No water leaks or spray from the sump. Humidity runs in the 70% here in Florida inside my house.
Any one have this issue?

Did you ever cut the rope?
I would try cleaning it good with RO water to make sure there is no salt residue along of the entire rope.
It will only shut off if it senses 3 seconds of water leak.

Nope, did not cut it. I will try to clean it with RO water. Is the 3 seconds adjustable in the software?
Out of curiosity, how long to these ropes last?

They don't deteriorate and should not need to be replaced
