Re: Stuck relay

Well I just thumped it a few times with the side of my hand and whatever was stuck came loose. :D It then freely kicked on and off. Guess I'll keep an eye on it for now, but makes me a little nervous that it stuck on, instead of off.

Stuck relay

I have a stuck relay in my add on relay box. My refugium light is stuck on. At first I thought it was my controller acting up but after some testing I'm pretty sure it's the relay. It is not responding to changes made through the desktop or android client apps. I have power cycled the RA head unit a...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

No joy, after moving them as far apart as the supplied cords allow the controller flipped out again and left the CO2 stuck on and started flashing the PWM controlled LEDs again. I'll shoot a PM with info for RMA.

Re: RA crashing after add ons

I've got one more thing to try first. I had the RF module right next to the PWM module and I'm wondering if that is causing interference and maybe explaining the hi/lo flashing of the leds (corresponding to the RF signal to the vortechs?) I'm going to try moving them further apart to see if that fix...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

I just noticed as I posted this that the wifi is offline yet again. If I can't get these issues straightened out quickly I'm going to dump this thing and get something else. I don't mind updating firmware as needed but I'm tired of chasing down issues every time I change something.

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Thanks Drew. I'd like to but the issues have reared their ugly head again. Things seemed to be going ok until I got home from our camping trip and the pwm controlled leds started flashing hi/low cost ontinuously. Tried resetting it again and it ran for a couple hours before it started flashing again...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Initial impressions are that this fixed the issue. The red status light came on mid day and stayed on but everything is still functioning (I see this from time to time normally). If it holds up more than 24hrs then I think we're good. Thanks Roberto.

Re: RA crashing after add ons

I bought the module 6 months ago but my build was delayed and I just got to hook it up this week.

The new .ini fixed the memory tab, thanks!

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Looks like the PWM dimming module was causing the issue. There have been no issues since unplugging only this module.

Re: RA crashing after add ons

I think it may be the PWM dimming module. I tried the relay by itself and every combination of relay and other expansions and every time it has crashed so far the PWM has been plugged in. I'm running with everything but the PWM now and it's been stable for a while. I'll let this burn in over night a...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Went down again about an hour ago and this time I noticed when I unplugged the RF module and the display came back online that the date time on the display showed a year of something like 2060 and time of 5PM so all lights came on early. I power cycled the controller and I have unplugged everything ...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Yes, all cables are what came with the modules. After unplugging and replugging thing in it reset and is currently working. If/when it goes down again I'll try pulling all modules out of the hub and see if the hub alone causes an issue.

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Hi Roberto, I tried unplugging add ons from the expansion hub one by one and when I unplugged the RF expansion module the main unit came back online, I tried replugging it and each time the head unit dropped out, even when using different ports in the expansion hub, so I just left the RF module unpl...

Re: RA crashing after add ons

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Just came home and luckily decided to do some work on the tank and found this thing locked up again with the status light giving the 3 blink signal again. PH in the reactor is down to 6.2 because it didn't shut off the CO2, the last 2 times it was up to 6.7. Alslo, si...

RA crashing after add ons

Two days ago I added my usb expansion hub, 2nd relay box and PWM dimming module. For the past 2 nights now the RA head unit has locked up in the middle of the night and stopped functioning. The red status light has given 3 blinks repeatedly each time. I have also noticed that the client app gives an...

Re: Client Suite false alerts

I was having the same problem and posted a query about it and never got a response. I just turned them off and set up the alerts in the Portal. You can also set up alerts in the latest version of the Andriod app (0.9.2) if you have that. http://curtbinder.info/apps/ Thanks, I may end up going one o...

Client Suite false alerts

I have the client suite 3.0 setup to send alerts on hi/lo temp and ph. Several times a day I get alerts for low temp of 76deg or low ph of 4.93. When I check the status all is fine and the logs don't show any issue. Has anyone else seen this or have a solution for this problem?

Re: WIFI DHCP problem

Thanks for the quick response Roberto! I just jumped on here to post that apparently it was my router causing the problem. Only my PCs recovered from the channel change. Any non-windows device would not re-connect. A hard reset of the router fixed the issue. That's good info on the ver. 4 firmware, ...

WIFI DHCP problem

I've been having some issues with my wifi dropping out lately and was checking some setting on my router. I wanted to be sure that nothing was interfering with the frequency my router was on so I switched it from auto (using channel 6) to a static channel. The RA wifi dropped immediately so I tried ...

Re: Display Goes Out

I have been getting this behavior on my RA+. Static vertical and horizontal lines and the status light lights up. Most times if I take the wifi attachment off and plug in the usb cable to my computer it clears up for a day or so, then right back to the messed up display.

Re: Download code from RA memory?

Nothing major yet. Just some stuff for the ATO and some holding places for planned Vortech programming. I culled it all out of the forums so I shouldn't really have too much trouble getting it again, was just hoping to save some time. I've definitely learned my lesson and will be saving code to drop...

Download code from RA memory?

My laptop hard drive crashed taking my custom code with it. Is there a way to download/generate the code that is loaded in the memory of the RA? Re: Client Suite 3.0

Can the listener service app config be edited to change the polling frequency? Scratch that, after looking closer I see the listener is real time. How do I change the logging frequency in the client app? It is updating every 3 min but sometimes every 4min so I'm assuming it's logging around every 3....
