Re: How to setup your wifi attachment

Hello,
Should the interface with the installer look like the tutorial? Mine looks the same as the old one with the same functions. I have recently removed all my earlier reefangel programs and updated to the latest stuff including the new libraries.

Thanks,
Rob

Re: Error when uploading to the controller

I have one powerhead plugged in. I have port 4 and 5 in "always on" right now because I am not using those outlets for wave making, only to run a powerhead all the time. It seems to have stopped cycling, and I have successfuly uploaded a couple more times. Thank you for you help.

Re: Error when uploading to the controller

I tried the suggestions that you made but it did not help. I uninstalled the "Reef Angle Controller" then downloaded and installed it again. I then updated the libraries again and was able to upload my good PDE file. Everything is working now, except it is cycling my main lights. Going to ...

Re: Error when uploading to the controller

I think it might be a Com port issue. When I go to RAgen and click "find controller" it says it can not find Com port 7. I went to the device manager and changed the port that is was showing from 4 to 7 but does not make a difference. I aslo removed the Com device and plugged the cable bac...

Error when uploading to the controller

Hello all, Well I had the PDE running, WiFi working. Even had the Iphone app up, then I decided to try and get a signature banner up. I read the thread that covers how to modify the PDE, made some changes, ran verify in the Audrino program to check it, then uploaded it to the board. I then diconnect...

Re: Did someone say iPhone app?

I have the app working and it is great, thank you for all your work. Is it possible to have the app display the same information but not be able to change anything, just monitor? I ask because my Daughter is a great help with the tank and would be great if I could put the app on her phone also but n...

Re: Memory Files and PDE files

So lets say in the internal memory file that I have genrated I have a set of light tuning on at 1400 and off at 2200. And a few days later I want to have the lights come on at 1300 and off at 2100, do I write code to make that change, or do I make another mem file and change it there and reload it a...

Memory Files and PDE files

Hello all, I have read over and over again that once you upload a memory file that you do not have to do it again. I understand that the memory file is allowing certain options for the pde file to use. What I dont understand is if I want to change the lighting period for a set of lights, how do I do...

Re: WiFI utility walkthrough complete, now what?

I just loaded the following code from RAGen with the WiFi check box checked, still can not display anything from that address. Sorry the post is so long, do not know how to use the little boxes that you can scroll in. // Autogenerated file by RAGen (v1.1.0.127), (01/21/2012 17:20) // RA_012112_1720....

Re: WiFI utility walkthrough complete, now what?

The following is a paste of the settings after using the utility. I believe the line that I have placed some (****) by is not right. I also took out some information that I did not think should be posted and replaced the information with (XXXX). After reading more threads it looks like my WiFi is no...

Graphical WiFi utility .NET 4 compatible?

Hello all, I am back to trying to get stuff sorted out. I am trying to use the WiFi utility and it shows an error "unhandeld exception" as soon as I start it. I am working with a new laptop and it has .NET 4 installed. Is the utility compatible with it? Certainly might not be the problem b...

Re: Did someone say iPhone app?

When I try to run the graphical utility again it will only let me choose comm port 1. When I set up the controller it was on com port 3. Now when I do things following the directions in the utility nothing gets sent to the wifi adapter. It still sits there blinking the green light though.

Re: Did someone say iPhone app?

Thanks, do not see anything like that. It is connected to the controller and is doing the slow green blink. Maybe it is not on the network? I do not remember configuring it onto the network. Will keep working it. The other stuff is all working great, thank you for all the help Roberto.

Re: Did someone say iPhone app?

Chris, first thing you want to do is go to http://www.dyndns.org, create a new account and setup a new hostname. By doing this, you will create a new host address. Something like "chris.dyndns-remote.com". What this will do is bind the chosen host address (chris.dyndns-remote.com) to your...

Hello,

So is the DYN email server thing a paid service? I have registered with the site and do not have a problem paying a small fee for this APP to work, but wanted to check and see before buying a years subscription to the site.

Is it okay to have the PH probe and temp probe connected the the controller when I upload to it? My computer is fairly close and I am just plugging the cable to the controller while it is still hooked up to the sensors.
