Still dropped, but not as much. In the glass of tank water it made it down to around 32 after 2 days.

Got home from work today and it was back down to 23.9

I just put it in a cup of tank water, it went back up to 35. I'll update you on what it's reading tomorrow, usually drops slowly over the course of a day.

Took the probe out of the sump, shook the water off, and put it back in. It went right back to 35ppt, but then immediately started dropping again. It's not a fast drop, maybe .2-.3 per hour, but fast enough that it's concerning.

I got the salinity attachment for my RA+ unit about 2 weeks ago. The problem I'm having with it is that almost as soon as I'm done calibrating it the reading starts dropping and continues to drop, could this be a bad probe? How do I change the time in the RA? Ever since daylight savings time my lights and everything that works on timer is off by an hour. I thought the RA just got it's time from the computer so I tried reloading my code but nothing changed. Any suggestions?

It may be working now, I have to wait and see but looks it's been set this way for the afternoon and not gone above the low ato switch yet.

I added the {}brackets to the if and else code...could that have made a difference?

It was only doing the part that said turn on for xx minutes every yy minutes. It ignored the low ato isactive part.

I've been trying myself to code this but just not having any luck with it. I have a Standard ATO and need to set a code so that the pump isn't recycling on and off repeatedly when the water splashes in the sump. Finally got a chance to try this tonight. The RA doesn't like the second line down, it gives me an error message that reads:

"no matching function for call to 'ReefAngelClass::DosingPumpRepeat(int,int,int)'"

OK, I have some plumbing I've been wanting to move for awhile now so I'll try that first.

Otherwise is there a way to code the relay (Box1_Port1) to run say every 30 minutes for 2 minutes, but only if the ATO switch is active during that time?

Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the ATO float switch? My sump is a bit wavy at time and it's causing the relay to switch on and off every 10-15 seconds, and it's only on for a couple seconds at a time which isn't even enough for the ATO pump to prime itself. Ok, 2 questions then. 1) when I plug into the dimming ports on the main relay box the pumps don't turn on at all, they turn on but only at full power when plugged into the 2nd relay box.
2) what is the "correct" way for the dip switches to be set? All off? All on?

I have the RA+ along with the 8 plugs that come with it. I have just added another set of 8 plugs (relay expansion) and couple of jabeo pumps which are plugged into the dimming ports on the expansion. Nothing on the expansion works so I'm assuming that I don't have the "dip switches" set r...

I have the standard RA. I'm wondering how do you all go about setting the correct time on the unit? Right now it is reading exactly 2 hours behind what it really is (ex 6:55pm instead of 8:55pm).

I also had a friend come over who has a RA Plus (He's the one who convinced me this system was the way to go) and even he couldn't get it to work. At this point I'm going to assume I have a bad controller and return the unit.

It's the regular RA so I selected Reef Angel Controller (Also Tried Reef Angel Controller with Optiboot...not sure what that is but I tried it). As far as the cable it's the black wire all the way to the right correct?

I just connected everything and used the wizard to set it up, but when I go to upload the status light flashes a couple times on the controller and then I get an error message on my computer that says "error uploading". I think I have everything connected correctly, is this a common issue?
