Roberto,
This looks really cool - but I'm not seeing a UApp for Android in the store but do see one in the iTunes store. Is there a plan to officially support Android?

Re: Maxspect Gyre xf230 speeds
To echo what Roberto said, the only way to determine output of analog vs PWM from the terminals is with an oscilloscope. A PWM output will look like a boxy on-off while an analog will be a straight line.rimai wrote:Both PWM and analog would show the same thing on the meter.

They definitely need to be cemented. I actually thought mine was defective when I first got it and it ended up being not-entirely-cemented somewhere.

Re: Test for a toasted dimming module?
Yep, it was toasted. Wish I knew how or why, because I literally just swapped the old out for the new without changing the code or wiring and everything's working peachy. Thanks for expediting the shipping of the new one.rimai wrote:Using the multimeter is a good way.

Re: Maxspect Gyre xf230 speeds
According to the Amazon page for the IceCap Interface Module, it's looking for a 0-10v signal. It's also Apex ready, so whatever signal the Apex system uses (PWM vs Analog, not sure) is your best bet. If I were to guess, it's probably looking for PWM, but don't take that as gospel and fry your expen...

Re: Maxspect Gyre xf230 speeds
No experience with the Maxspect, but with the Jebao, it will "sort of" work if you have it on the wrong setting (PWM vs Analog) but is kinda screwy. Are you sure that it's not expecting a different input? Is there a little electronic control box that comes with the MaxSpect? Have you measu...

I have also been troubleshooting my dimming module.
Can you test the terminals where the lighting wires connect to the module with a multimeter?

Test for a toasted dimming module?
So I've been trying to get my Jebao pumps working with the dimming module and sorta-kinda had them working yesterday. Today, they're not working. I had typically just used my multimeter on the terminals to read voltage when troubleshooting, but I'm getting nothing this morning, and am afraid I may h...

Re: Overheat triggered improperly several times...
sometimes there is a false reading from the sensors. it happens and then returns to normal right after that. I have code in the libraries to detect the random spikes and not report them. actually, if the temperature changes more than 10 degrees (i think, have to double check) in 1 second, that read...

Thanks for the ideas, binder.
You're probably right re: making changes to system libraries. I may end up having to extend them or something.
I'm still fiddling with the RF module with my Radion but making good progress. I'll post some code later next week.

Overheat triggered improperly several times...
In the last couple of days, my RA has thrown an "overheat" flag. The first time it happened was curious, because I was fairly certain that my tank hadn't managed to get up to 82.5 degrees when the heater is set at 78-79 and that's controlled by both the RA and the heater thermostat and my ...

The dimming module doesn't have a connector to plug into. It has screw headers that bare wires get screwed in place. Yep. I'm wondering if you know what the male version of the female connector on the Jebao cable you sell is, so I can create a quick way to connect/disconnect the Jebao cable from th...

Re: Newer Jebao Powerheads and RA...
Yes, if you have more than 2 pumps, you would connect them to a dimming expansion module. Cool. Do you happen to know what the male connector is for the Jebao cable you send? Rather than cut and strip the cable I buy from you, I'd like to have an actual harness on my dimming module that the cable p...

So the last part of my tank that isn't DC/modulated are my powerheads - I have a couple of Koralias that I'd like to pull out in favor of something that I can do more than just turn them on/off. 1.) Re: Where are the variables defined for the "memory" option?
So what I have so far: Globals.h is where all the memory positions are defined. EEProm.cpp is where all of the Get/Set functions are stored for these memory positions. In "stored in memory" mode, Mem_B_StdLightsOn and Mem_B_StdLightsOff looks to be the only timer that you can define. When ...

Re: Where are the variables defined for the "memory" option?
You'll need to do something like this. I think memory locations 100-199 are available to use. Bytes, take 1 location, ints take 2, floats take 4. In globals: // Memory locations for adjusting dosing amounts. #define Mem_B_AlkDosage 100 #define Mem_B_CalDosage 101 #define Mem_B_Doses 102 #define Mem...

Where are the variables defined for the "memory" option?
So one of the things I'm currently doing as I reboot tank is redo all of my RA code. Previously, I had kept all the variables "in the code" as magic numbers, but this time around, I'd like the flexibility to change light timing and stuff like that remotely, so I built a new project with th...

Any possible way to control Radion from RA at this point?
Due to constraints with the location of my new setup, I can't hang my LEDs from the ceiling. In researching light fixtures, I sort of gravitated to the Radion XR30w because it has the new handy RMS mount that clamps to the back. Unfortunately, that was about the time I searched here and found out yo...

IO Module power adapter?
So the power adapter on my IO Module died today... the little red light went out. I opened it up and one of the capacitors was visibly damaged. I'd like to buy a new one, but don't know the diameter and polarity of what I need. I did Google the serial number on mine, and came back with this story: h...

Good news! I think I may have finally fixed the issue, and am documenting it here for posterity. Unfortunately, the soap idea didn'...
