Re: Stray voltage
You may want to look into galvanic isolation and see if you think it will help, if so get the pH expansion... It is on my list to buy soon... Everyone I know with an Apex does not get any voltage interference with their pH probes because the Apex comes standard with Galvanic isolation. Not sure I u...

Thanks Lnevo and Rimai. That worked perfectly. Simple too! you can ignore my post in the other topic then. it's basically the same thing :-) glad you got it working Sent from my Nexus 7 Thanks Binder. I forgot I actually posted there and made a new one. Bad on my part, I apologize. In hind sight th...

Re: WavemakerRandom function question
Hi Roberto, That seems easy enough. Is there a set place to put that bit of code? I placed it under the void loop. Didn't seem like it did much but I think I get the idea although it is in the wrong block/location. -scottf void loop() { // ReefAngel.WavemakerRandom( Port5,60,100 ); // ReefAngel.Wave...

Re: WavemakerRandom function question
So, when is that you want to have them off? I was thinking 8 pm to 8 am they would be off to give the tank some calmer flow or something like that. Or if it is even possible to put say a sleep or wait in there so the cycle rests every hour. I just put it back to the original code I saw which was be...

WavemakerRandom function question
Is there any sample code or examples of using the WavemakerRandom function that maybe includes a window when it runs rather than 24x7? I found a couple examples earlier that I am using which work great with my two Koralia 425's. However, I'm looking at my tank and it may be a bit much :) It is a 29 ...

Re: Quick Tips from a newbie, for the newbies...
Just an update for anyone using the search function at the top of the site. #6 Wavemaker has been updated and using the above code will cause your relay box to freak out. Use this instead: ReefAngel.WavemakerRandom(Port5,25,60); // Turn Port5 on/off random cycles that lasts from 25 to 60 secs ReefA...

Re: Check library version fails
Try deleting or renaming the folder Documents\Arduino Then, download a fresh copy of the Reef Angel Installer from the website and install it again. Ok, let me give that a shot. Was thinking of that but didn't try it. Be back in a few. Thanks Rimai. That appears to have done the trick. I'm not sure...

Check library version fails
Hi everyone. New computer and it came with windows 8.1 but this was working on my 7 box which went kaput. Anyway, trying to connect back up to my Reef Angel and running into some errors. I have the Reef Angel Client working which is great. However, when I try to use the Arduino Reef Angel client to ...

Re: pH probe error
I keep clearing on the actual device and it keeps returning. I have a pH probe but no ATO. The error continues to show PHE: Error
I'm only using the standard pH probe that ships with the kit. Is there something else enabled that I need to disable?

Re: pH probe error
1.0.9 if I recall correctly. The last auto update via arduino reef angel code tool. I will double check although the client isn't working because something else has a hold on the port it uses. Not sure what but I recall my watch not syncing so maybe that is what happened they are both trying to use ...

pH probe error
There is a red light on the Reef Angel controller box, the status light I believe, that is steady on. Any way to check what it is? When I look at the display it says PHE Error. I looked at the probe and it looks ok. Connection is solid. Looking at the ReefAngel Client v3.0 doesn't really yield much ...

Re: PWM / LED Flicker
Not sure how that works Cosmith. I know my sketch doesn't have anything with the numbers I used when I calibrated it. Also not sure what happens to the memory when you upload a new sketch like I did today. I just assumed that it would clear everything and I'd have to do it again. Side note - THANK Y...

Re: PWM / LED Flicker
Hi All. Quick update. I went ahead and made the recommended changes has everyone noted. I fired up the arduino reef angel sketch tool, then opened the wizard. I have a pretty basic tank as I noted above but here is what I did. 1. Moved LED power supply off the relay box to a surge protector. 2. Move...

Re: PWM / LED Flicker
Thank you all for the several replies and what to look for. The powerhead isn't plugged into port 5 or 6. In fact, I belive it is in port 2 or 3. I assumed, and incorrectly, that each port was the same on the relay box. Sorry about that. Lnevo - not sure I understand the relay bar. Sorry. They do po...

PWM / LED Flicker
HI - quick question (I hope). I am using Steve's LED retro kit over a Oceanic 29 Gallon BioCube and noticed it is flickering. Not sure if I am explaining it right, sorry; but that is the best way to describe it anyway :) I am using the PWM signal to adjust it starting at 1% for white/blue and going ...

Are you offering the smaller size 25's by any chance? 40's would probably be too large for my 29 cube.

Re: JEBO WP-40
Thanks.
Will keep an eye on this thread and also the ~net. Would be nice to have something like that which allows some control. As of now I am using the Koralia circulation pumps with random timers on/off. It works, but I think this may be a better solution.

Re: JEBO WP-40
I haven't seen it yet, but is there more than one pump or is it only the WP-40?
Was looking for the possibility of using something for a 29 gallon that one could control. Although I'm guessing I would need to buy a PWM expansion since the initial relay box is used to control my LEDs.

Re: Clouds and Lightining Effects using standard PWM channel
Does this feature work in the current libraries or development libs I should say? Also, would be sort of cool if you could add in a option to turn on, for a short burst, say your ports that control wave makers. So you mix in the cloud and storm effects with a quick burst of current. Probably be a ba...

Re: Client Suite 3.0
Hi Rimai, I tried setting the Port2Bit as you suggested but it still isn't doing the trick and allowing me to adjust the lighting per the client. In fact, I'm not even sure the client is pulling the correct memory settings oddly enough. I know it is working but maybe I don't have it configured corre...

Re: Client Suite 3.0
Question on the Client Suite v3.0. Does it still support adjusting the PWM percentage? I believe that the earlier version allowed you to adjust it via the sliders. This one does too, but it never actually changes. It displays the precentage but then goes back to the current settings via the controll...

Re: Client Suite 3.0
Thanks, Sebyte. I think I see the issue. The Listener service validates that the internal memory locations from the controller match up with a defined set that the Client expects to see. This makes sure that we're displaying the correct values in the correct places on the Memory tab and also updati...

Re: Relay box pwm question
I think the drivers are working rather well honestly. However, the power supply he uses is horrible. I'm on my second one now. I think they have some serious heating issues and the fan goes out which I've had to replace now. I'm not bashing it or his kit, in fact, I've spoke to him about it and his ...

Thanks. I'll have to look into the wires then and logic to see what is going on. They should be full on then and they are not. Re: Relay box pwm question
Cool. That is what I figured and did. Is there a easy way to test the PWM slope? I noticed mine are full @ 100% even though I used the wizard to rebuilt and set the unit up. It later dawned on me that I had the potentiometer on full rather than set to the lowest setting. Now the LED's are on but at ...

Re: Relay box pwm question
Will the preloaded code still work even though I'm using a single power supply for the dual drivers? The drivers each have their pwm inputs which I've connected up and work. I'm assuming I can just pick a relay outlet, set up a timer for on/off, and then hopefully the PWM logic will take over from t...
