Re: Updating Code / Testing on live reef

I think Dave's Client could very well implement this. I don't think it's very difficult.
Can you create a new thread where we can discuss and put thoughts together?

Re: Updating Code / Testing on live reef

At one point in the wifi developement, I was able to get upload of code through wifi. It was very confusing and impractical to have it done by anyone, so I just never made it as a feature of the wifi. I just can't seem to be able to get it going again. I do know that the wifi board would have to be ...

Re: Auto Water Change

That's why I said I changed the private variable "DisplayedMenu" to public. This was just to test, since it would require modifying libraries. Maybe Curt could give us a better way to get the DisplayedMenu variable, so others could also create custom functions that depend on the menu optio...

Re: Builtin Wifi Page

I tried standard libraries on the controllers I have up and running and it's working fine on Firefox and IE.
I'll get something loaded and tested tomorrow for development libraries.

Re: Bootloader upgrade (optiboot)

I've uploaded optiboot_ReefAngel_v2.zip to 1st post.
Can you try that one, Curt?
I've changed some stuff, but I had to kind of disable the no-wait boot. So, you will get the 3 blinks no matter on power-on or reset.
Let me know if it works on Linux now.

Roberto.

Re: Bootloader upgrade (optiboot)

Ok, I was finally able to replicate the issue.
I'll investigate what it is.
It never happened yet for me when I try loading a code from RAGen, but if I load simple codes, it always does it.

Re: Bootloader upgrade (optiboot)

I can't seem to be able to replicate the same problem on a Win7 x64. Just as curiosity, which programmer did you use to burn the bootloader? When avrdude starts the upload process, it resets the controller. Do you see the 3 flashes indicating it's been reset? I just added the original bootloader to ...

Re: LED Lightning Storm Simuation

You could always do it with saltwater and then turn off and just rinse with freshwater at the end.
Easy to do that with RA :)

Re: Dosing Pumps

They are just dosing pumps with nothing special on them. Much like Drew's doser. Because RA already offers the functions to control dosing pumps by seconds, there is no real need for anything that would just end up increasing the cost of the unit. Unfortunatelly you will have to wait for user review...

Re: Dosing Pumps

It's about 0.75ml/s with 3 rollers.
Very similar heads than the bubble magus and profilux.
In fact, they could be used as replacements if one would ever want to, but I'll have all wearable parts too.

Re: LED Lightning Storm Simuation

The PWM expansion module has the thunderstorm effects built-in.
Two actually. One is preset and will be always the same pattern across all 6 channels and one that is totally random. :)
Then you can program your PDE to call those effects whenever you want. :)

What about adding something like this: void ReefAngelClass::GetDisplayedMenu() { return DisplayedMenu; } Then, his code could have something like this: if (ReefAngel.GetDisplayedMenu()==WATERCHANGE_MODE) { //His code here } Code has been revised after posted. Would this work? This would actually giv...

Re: Auto Water Change

I'd recommend not changing ReefAngel.cpp core file. What happens is everytime Curt releases an update, your code would be lost and you would have to apply the diff changes all over again. Instead, put the code you want inside your PDE file. But, I think the required variable (ReefAngel.DisplayedMenu...

Bootloader upgrade (optiboot)

Hello everyone, I'd like to release the upgraded version of the Reef Angel Bootloader, which is a variant of the optiboot bootloader. To upgrade your Reef Angel controller, you will need a in-system programmer. More info on the in-system programmer and how to burn a new bootloader: http://arduino.cc...
