Basically anything that has a variable, such as dimming and speed control in fans or motors.
I'm putting fans in this new tank with speed control, so when it's not too hot, they run silently just for air circulation and when it gets hot, they spin faster to cool down the inside of the canopy.

Re: Moonlights sneak preview
The last batch of relay boxes have "easy to install" PWM booster.
You could just buy the booster alone and install it yourself.
The alternative way is to get a PWM expansion module, which gives you 6 boosted PWM channels.

Moonlights sneak preview
Hi all, I'm very happy with the results. This moonlight module is capable of being plugged in into any boosted PWM channel without any other additional hardware necessary. I just placed in the tank I just filled with water and here are the results: http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx258/reefangel_...

You can dip the whole thing in the water or just the tip. I usually leave at mid way. You need to calibrate it to show correct readings though. I'm gonna assume you already have your computer setup and can upload codes to the controller as well as be able to use RAGen. If not, please follow this thr...

Yeah, that's why I said there was a missing video to be coming. It would show the second part of the code generation, which you obviously already figured out. Now, to the second relay box. The first thing you want to make sure is that you have placed the jumpers on the head unit according to the rel...

Re: Initial setup help please...
Hi, I'll start by mentioning that you are missing a piece of equipment. At the time of your purchase, it was not yet available, but it is in the web store now. You need the expansion hub to get the PWM module to work. http://www.reefangel.com/Products.Expansion-Hub.ashx So, let's just start by remov...

You can set the id to #2. Not a problem as long as you understand that the relays are assigned 21 to 28 for relay box #2. Here are the assignments: Defaul Relay Box: 1-8 Expansion Relay Box #1: 11-18 Expansion Relay Box #2: 21-28 Expansion Relay Box #3: 31-38 Expansion Relay Box #4: 41-48 Expansion ...

Re: Reversing the ATO code
I'm pretty sure that if you are using the SingleATO function, it should be pointing down and not up.
Only if you are using the StandardATO is that you have they pointing to opposite sides.

There are 3.
Only one with graphics though, which is the default one.
The other 2 are the standard styles that came with the installation package.
If you want any of them installed, let me know. I'm sure I can get it up.

Re: Is there a way to write bigger characters to LCD?
How's you program memory running? Can you afford having the new characters inside the PROGMEM area? Each character needs at least 8 bytes of space and then you need to add the code to display the new font. So, if we do only numbers, I think we can squeeze in 500 bytes. Otherwise, we can place the da...

Re: Is there a way to write bigger characters to LCD?
I remember someone did do something like this but modifying the simple code. He stored the font code in the external EEPROM memory. It was one of the first buyers of RA and I just never heard from him again. Curt has a bold font, but it is not larger. The current font is 5x8 pixels. How much bigger ...
