Is it possible to run two expansion hubs off of a Reef Angel Star, one connected to each of the USB ports?
Thanks!

RA Star Relay Boxes Question
I read somewhere that RA Star treats all relay boxes as expansions. Does this mean I could support 9 relay boxes with RA Plus (1 main plus 8 expansions) but that RA Star only supports 8?

Re: Connect Star to Cloud via Web Wizard
But I can't do that on the web wizard, which means no remote upload. Do I need to generate a nearly blank INO via the wizard and copy and paste my custom code between the comments?

Connect Star to Cloud via Web Wizard
I have been unsuccessful at getting my Reef Angel Star to connect to the cloud via the web wizard. I had an existing INO file that I had been uploading via Visual Studio Code. Copied that to the web wizard. Ran the wizard separately to generate the hash code and then copied and pasted the comments t...

Re: Universal App
Looks like auto-reconnect broke after moving to SSL. Will take a look today. Likely just a different disconnect code, as I check the code before attempting a reconnect.

Re: U-App Repo
Thanks, Roberto. We probably need to do something different with the file versioning to ensure browser caches are being refreshed when new files are available. Will look into it. In the meantime, it’s likely that many folks are still using the old version until their browser cache expires or is manu...

Re: U-App Repo
Is there an easy way to confirm if I have your version @sbidny? There are a few ways, but the easiest is probably looking at the top of the menu. It should say “Reef Angel Uapp 2.0.7.” If it doesn’t, try clearing your browser’s cache. Just need to do for reefangel.com, but if you do for everything,...

Re: Universal App
@tkeracer619, I have a working version with a responsive layout for the relays. It will lay as many as possible across horizontally before wrapping to the next line, depending on the device being used. I need to do a little more testing, but I'll try to get this over to Roberto in the next few days.

Re: U-App Repo
Roberto, I noticed a bug caused by my cleanup of onMessageArrived(). It's a small change, and I have submitted a pull request to pick up the fix. I'd recommend pulling it in as soon as possible. It causes a timeout to occur every time you change mode or try to clear a flag, even though these actions...

Re: Universal App
Just a heads up that it appears Safari heavily caches this site on an iPhone. You need to do clear the cache in order to view the new site properly. Go to Settings -> Safari -> Advanced -> Website Data Search for "reefangel.com," swipe the entry, and click "Delete." Now you shoul...

Re: U-App Repo
Fixed the issue with default labels. Been using this all weekend, and I've been happy with the results. No longer need to hit refresh or change screens to reconnect, which is a big improvement in usability. Let me know if you need anything else.

Re: U-App Repo
Seems that the reconnect logic is working. I do think I broke something with default labels, so I’ll take a quick look at that. Rest is looking good.

Re: U-App Repo
Have now added a basic reconnect logic when you lose connection (likely due to inactivity timeout). This may help with the need to reconnect every time you return to the app. Fingers crossed. I'll try to test at home tonight.

Re: U-App Repo
I have created a pull request for my updates. So far, I haven't solved the cloud connection issue, but I'll try to tackle that next. Want to get the current set of features out there first. Roberto, I haven't been able to compile Cordova for iOS yet, so if you want to do this, please go ahead. I kno...

I have also now added a way to change the Radion settings in internal memory, since the RF screen only allows you to override the values.

I was able to merge your changes in, and it seems to be working so far. Your changes have fixed the cloud stuff, so I now have the ability to make some changes there. I'll see what I can do to improve the connection logic.

U-App Repo
@Roberto, can you confirm where I can find the repo for the currently running version of U-App (http://forum.reefangel.com/uapp/)? The running version says v2.0.6, but the master branch at GitHub (https://github.com/reefangel/U-App-2.0) seems to show 2.0.4. I have a few tweaks that I'm hoping to sub...

Re: DCPump Custom Mode
Also, it appears the UApp doesn't play nice with selecting Custom mode from the DC Pump screen and not actually calling SetMode() to Custom. It times out instead and continues showing the previously selected mode, even though it actually does select Custom mode.

Re: DCPump Custom Mode
I think I see what you're saying. You're basically saying that one would look at the current mode, and if Custom, then implement whatever they want. Correct? Yeah, the PWM class is probably the best option right now, but I might submit a pull request for an update to better support Custom mode, simi...

Re: DCPump Custom Mode
Does Custom mode even work for the DCPump class? It doesn't appear to be implemented. In fact, the SyncSpeed and AntiSyncSpeed variables are not initialized and there is no default case in the switch statement, so it seems the behavior is pretty undefined: #ifdef DCPUMPCONTROL if (DCPump.UseMemory) ...

When using DCPump Custom mode, do the Sync and AntiSync for DaylightChannel and ActinicChannel work as expected? Re: Odd Radion Behavior
Worth mentioning that my XR30s are on OS Rev 1.7.8 and 2.1.15. They are two different builds, so they run different firmwares. The XR15 is running 2.1.12. I wonder if I can get the 2.1.15 XR30s back to 2.1.12 to test that. 1.7.8 is actually from Neptune (https://www.neptunesystems.com/getstarted/wxm...

Re: Odd Radion Behavior
BTW, I say this because the RA is able to control the XR15 even with the ReefLink active. Only when I sent a new schedule via the ReefLink would the XR15 try to apply it and then revert back to the RA schedule. The XR30s aren’t behaving this way. They aren’t taking any commands from the RA with the ...

Re: Odd Radion Behavior
I mean, I’ll give it a shot. But that does go against the opposite advice of a number of other threads, where putting the lights into basic mode was required for the RA to control them. I’m a bit curious though. I thought that the ReefLink simply sent a new schedule over to the Radions when you prog...
