Re: ReefAngel and Reeftronics
Yes I am able to use the RA app on my Galaxy phone, sometimes I have to refresh it a few times to get it to connect, but it gets there.

ReefAngel and Reeftronics
I want to set up Reeftronics for my ReefAngel controller. However I have not been able to find a guide on it and wanted to check it out before I send my membership request in to Russ. Is there a guide on this? Or is it so easy there is no guide?

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
I was able to get into the internal memory settings through the portal, currently trying to get it to save.
I don't understand what in my code makes it use the internal memory, I would prefer to keep everything in the code and not use the portal.

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
Code looks ok, except for this line: if (hour()>12 && hour()<22) Technically, it will only run from 1 PM to 9 PM. Run the controller test again. If you can't get it to change state, then there's an issue with the topoff unit. Since you've replaced the switch, I'd suspect the cable. Check th...

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
I did FINALLY figure out how to make the ATO work. However, now I cannot get my time out to work. Here is my updated code (sorry for all the notes, and the code that is //-ed out above the ATO coding is what I had before, kept it to copy it). I am wondering if the time out needs to be in the custom ...

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
I got my new ATO switch from AVAST. However I still cannot get it to trigger! Here is a copy of my code, please let me know if you see anything wrong here. I am going to run another controller test to double check things. (I am not too great with the coding yet so something might be wrong that I nev...

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
I assume you were concerned it might be the head unit? I got out my original float switches and plugged them in and it all worked fine. So it seems it is something with the Avast unit or plug.

Re: Avast ATO and RA+
So I uploaded the code. ATO showed high and low as OPEN. I pulled the ATO probe thing out of the water and it still showed as open. So I am thinking I need to buy a new ATO.

Avast ATO and RA+
I upgraded my head unit to the RA+ and it was either then or shortly after my avast ato stopped working. Is there anything in the new libraries that could be doing this or did my ato just die for some reason? (Pump still works, but nothing will make the trigger unit trigger).

Re: Switching from a regular RA to a RA Plus
Yeah I bought the whole set. Probably good to have spare parts on hand anyway. And I wouldn't mind setting up a second relay box either.
The switch out went quick and painless. Thank you for your help!

Switching from a regular RA to a RA Plus
This weekend I am going to finally make the switch from my regular RA head unit to a RA Plus unit. My regular RA has been malfunctioning; randomly changing the time which has been a huge deal. SO anything I should keep in mind when doing the transfer? Should I change everything out; relay box, cords...

Sketch Too Big
It is just not my day when it comes to the reef angel. I have tried to reload the programing code, but I keep getting that the sketch is too big. I tried to downgrade the libraries all the way back to 1.0.0 and I still get that it is too big. It is at 31,978 on a regular RA head unit. Here is coding...

Head Unit Gone Rogue?
So last night at about 11:15pm my controller switched times to 5:15pm, and turned on half of my lights. I fixed the time, thought it was weird, but put it behind me. When I checked on my tank cam during the night I could see that the head unit back light was on (which means either something/someone ...

Re: BuildMyLED light compatability with RA?
I have been looking at the BuildMyLED lights and was wondering of you got these running without any issues? Did you end up having to make your own cable or were you able to find the right one? For example, I was just wondering of the Aqua Illumination cable on the orders page might actually work fo...

Android APP Timeout 15/Connection Problems
We were having trouble with the Wifi module, but the firmware upgrade seems to have solved that problem. However, my Android APP does not work. I have it updated to the most recent version, but cannot get it to connect to the controller. The portal page on reefangel does receive updates (this is ver...

Re: BuildMyLED light compatability with RA?
Okay so I bought 2 of the light fixtures. I bought- http://www.buildmyled.com/14000k-custom-reef-spectrum/ and http://www.buildmyled.com/super-actinic . What do I need to make these work with my controller? Is it an issue using 2 dimmable fixtures on one controller with 1 relay box? What is going on...

Re: WiFi Not Staying Connected
Well I have great news. My father downgraded the firmware to version 2.32 I believe and the wifi has been up for more than 48 hours and counting! Android app works great with it, and I can use the portal. Thank you so much everyone for your help and guidance. So glad we got this resolved.

Re: WiFi Not Staying Connected
After power cycling the wi-fi unit, it connects to the router fine. It acquires a static IP, the port forwarding works, the Reef Angel client and site receive information. Everything looks good. Then after a few moments or a few hours, the wi-fi unit loses connectivity. After a few minutes of lack o...

WiFi Not Staying Connected
After power cycling the WiFi module it connects to the router and will serve up the reef angel web server web message. The signal is strong, about 85%, but after a couple of minutes it seems the WiFi module goes to sleep, and the blue light starts flashing. Using Comcast internet, D-Link DIR-825 rou...
