Hi,

I am considering getting the it2080 led fixture and i need advice before i decide. I like the fixture but i am concerned that i lose the ability to control the light patterns with the RA+. I did read about 'shorting' the controller but dont really understand it. Can someone with experience with this fixture please help me understand what the light fixture controller pros/cons are?

If i decide to go with the fixture i will use the ra for on/off and overheat only and will have to rely on the light controllers for the light patterns. Is that a wise move?

Thanks in advance

Not sure on the it2080. One the D120/D2040 its 4 wires to each dimming. Two of the wires are on/off and the other two are the 10V analog wires. The IT series has a built in controller so I'm not its wired the same. I have yet to do the hack on my D series.

Your plan is sound though.. You can also do on/off in other conditions like power outage.
