aquastyle - bridgelux led light/controller

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the bridgelux light and controller as follows:

If so, is this something that can be controlled with the RA? Also, thoughts on light it self. I have done several DIY through aquastyle but with the meanwell drivers.

I like those driver boards!!! Not sure what you'll be able to do since it comes with its own controller...but its pwm so you could do replace it with the ra no problem.

Those are meanwell LDD drivers.
You can simply put their controller aside and use that CAT5 cable to connect to a GEN2 dimming expansion module.
All you need to find out is the pinout of that CAT5 cable.

They say its wiring 12 LEDs in series and supplying it with 48v. 12 LEDs is only consuming 36v. Is the forward voltage drop I keep reading about what is preventing them from being overdriven?

Why would you want to overdrive the LEDs?

Ive been trying to understand led systems a little better lately and one thing confuses me. Assuming a forward voltage of 3.4, the total voltage required for a string of 12 would be 40.8 volts. They're supplying 48v. How is it not supplying excessive voltage? What piece of knowledge am I missing here?

The drivers are not constant voltage drivers. They are constant current drivers.
They always maintain the current at a fixed value, which in this case is 1000mA and they vary the voltage to whatever the LEDs combined forward voltage comes up to.
