I'm no networking guru, so maybe the answer is simple.

I primarily connect to my controller directly using the Android app. It works great on my home wifi network. It works great via my cell's mobile data connection. However, on a recent trip I discovered that it wouldn't connect via either of the hotel wifi networks I stayed at.

I also tried connecting via the portal and that also didn't work, though I could connect to the web portal on my laptop.

I could not connect via the RA client, though it works fine on my home network.

My account is password protected.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the hotel wifi was blocking the ports.

Actually sounds like the portal didn't work either. Are you sure you were registered properly at the hotel? In this case I would just use the cellular data :)

Yes, I had full internet access. I think I may have other issues connecting to the portal, because I just tried using the app via the portal instead of the controller and it didn't work even on my home network.
