I haven't tried, but I think you should be able to use iffft to trigger something on your RA.

You can use the Maker event to get and receive URL events. I have one that restarts one of my RA where the network is lousy. The only caveat is the RA can't call out to other web pages easily (maybe in the Dev version) so you need another device (using my desktop to run a cron job every 5 minutes to see if it's on the network) and then it can make a call to your RA. So really simple if let's say you ask Alexa to turn on a light and the event can then generate a Maker call to your RA to turn on your LEDs :)

Getting ready to order one, has anything further been done with this? Would love to say "Alexa read me the pH and temp from my reef angel" or "Alexa start feed mode on my reef angel"

Great!! I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions once I get to that point, but that will make life so much easier!!
