changing from analog to pwm

Post by fwadiver »

changing a relay box from analog to pwm

I noticed there are jumpers in the relay box for this, is there anything else involved other than moving them? I think i'm looking at the wrong version of the schematic because i dont even see the jumpers on it.

They are pre-set on manufacturing and welded shut.
If you break the weld, you would have access to the internal components.

do you mind sending me your schematic (ab08hun@gmail.com), so I can have a closer look into this my box :)

I uploaded the eagle file to the website, but you must have rev 8.1 of the relay box, which is pretty new.

I got the kit back in Jan-Feb 2012? with previous +/- polarity so we had to brake the seal. I would look inside the box but its mounted on tight sidewall and tons of cables to disconnect. Wondering you spare me the effort......

Definitely not.
The newer boxes were made within the last month or so.

not really welded, more superglued shut, pretty easy to pop open.

it's an ABS weld cement. I leave it lightly welded, just in case someone wants to pop it open :)
It I made a full seal, it would never be able to open and that's not the intention here...
Being an open source, I do want those few that are curious or want to tinker to go check things out inside :)

We do ultrasonic welding of plastic at work, just a chisel a vice and a smack of the hammer and you can pop anything open pretty cleanly.
