total pwnage urgent question?!
total pwnage urgent question?!
I had a sticking relay on one of my 2 relay boxes. I ordered a new box with the hopes of sending the original to rimai for him to repair, and then save as backup. I plug it all back in and wallah I am back up and running. The RA+ then started to reset and blink and I was like sugar somethings off. I touched a cord on the primary relay (not the new one) and it clicks, so I think ah loose connection no worries I got this! lol next thing u know I am unplugging everything checking everything and it wont post a status screen just a bad loop of on off. I replaced power cables swapped serial cables unplugged all loads from box and nada. I then bring the old relay box and a serial cable upstairs and sure enough I am perfect upstairs. what on earth can it be? p.s. I took old relay box downstairs and tried to recreate what I have upstairs and couldnt

Re: total pwnage urgent question?!
Ok so here is the update. I reprogrammed the ra+ this morning to move it all around so that usb cables would no longer be an issue. I also wanted to rule out which usb device it was yada yada yada. The second I plug in the expansion hub (boom death loop) Ok hooray I found it right? well not entirely. SO I plugged it all back together minus the hub and I was just going to use the relay expansion so I could have lights etc. well I plugged it all together and powered the secondary relay box and it goes into a on off cycle pulsating the relays. I tried the older relay box and it didn't cycle on and off but no power either. I double checked power cables for hub and box all good but still no power.
So now here is what I have
RA+ 2 relay boxes. I swapped the boxes from primary to secondary so I could redo usb stuff easier later. I changed 2 outlets no big deal. I have t-5 Mh and fluorescent, CA Reactor, skimmer, heater control, fan control, all on the RA= at the moment just life support stuff is on and powered but no lights at all. I am really getting aggravated. when I plug in the RA+ upstairs by my pc, it powers accepts codes and works, so I am happy to say I am almost positive the problem is either a relay box or some unknown minor issue.
P.s. I hate the temp sensors, has any one ever plugged a short sensor in and had success removing the lead without having to resolder? this is the 5th f-ing time. I ordered a new sensor thinking, meh Its older I should replace it, plug it in and then goto unplug, bam white wire falls out. ARRRRGH!
I just want it to work. I have a lot invested in this and a lot invested in my system. It was working well until I swapped out relay boxes, now I have insane usb issue insane everything. any ideas
