New Avast Marine ATO supports RA

Post by dmolton »

Just ran across Avast Marine's new pressure sensitive ATO setup which comes in two models. A standard option that comes with its own relay box to trigger a top off pump, or a digital version which comes with a few different cable options for plugging into a variety of controllers. Sure enough, the Reef Angel is a cable connector option you can choose for purchase! It looks to be the same connector type that Roberto offers with his controller package.

It's very cool to see a big name company actively targeting Reef Angel as a controller option for their products. Congratulations, Roberto 8-)

I'm guessing it's just a plug and play setup and you can swap out the existing sensors with their version. The instruction manual doesn't specify anything specific for interfacing with the RA, so I'm guessing the RA will interpret it exactly the same as the standard sensors.

Thanks for sharing!!!
I've been meaning to post this for so long and never got around on doing it.
I was waiting until I tested the unit, which I did recently and it works really well.
+1 on their product.
Roberto.

That's good to hear. So are there any changes needed in the libraries/sketch to get it to work or can we breeze right through the SingleATO setup in RAGen and have it work as expected?
