Reef Angel driver not installing on my desktop machine

Hello all, I have been trying to get the Reef Angel and software installed on my desktop. It is a Windows 7 PC, pretty normal. I run the installer, follow the instructions, and the installer can never communicate with the Reef Angel. In Device Manager under Other devices I have "FT232R USB UART", which I know is the Reef Angel. Does anyone know why the installer is unable to communicate with my Reef Angel? I installed it on my work laptop (also Windows 7) without a problem, so I know my Reef Angel works. It would be way more convenient to work with this on my desktop. Any help is appreciated.

Can you try reinstalling the drivers?
Please download the latest one from: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
Let me know if it works.

That did work! Important thing to note, I am running 64-bit Windows 7 and when I pointed the driver to look in the amd64 folder. That will not work, but if you point it into the parent folder Windows finds the driver and loads it. Don't try to be too smart,
