Looking to buy a Reef Angel, but have questions

Hi Guys,
I'm pretty hooked on the idea of owning this controller just for the fact it's open source.
I'm a software developer and this just sounds really fun to me.

Could someone answer a few questions for me?
I currently have a 220 display tank + 2 frag tanks.

My goal:

Run three led dimmable LED fixtures above my display on timers with the "sunset" stuff happening.
Question: Does it matter the brand of LED's as long as they are dimmable?
Id like to send a link to the Leds to someone jsut to verify they are working, i cannot post links here.

Run two tunze Power heads creating a wave motion.
Question 1: I would not need a wave maker correct because the controller would handle that?
( Tunze Turbelle® Stream 2 Controllable Pumps (New Generation with Titanium Alloy Shaft))
Question 2: If two are not enough could i run four if needed?

Run the t5 fixture over the six foot long frag tank on a timer

Run a 400 watt MH over the other frag tank on a timer.

Monitor temp in display, frag tank 1 , frag tank 2.

I would like to monitor salinity as well, i dont see this on the products page but i have read in the forums you have one?

i would like to monitor ORP.

monitor ph in the tank as well as my calcium reactor.

i would like to see everything is functioning properly from my iphone.

could you let me know exactly what i would need to purchase and if all these requirements can be met?

I really appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks

You can do almost everything. :(
There is a module being released shortly for pH/ORP measurement. Unfortunatelly you cannot connect more than one.
So, you would have to pick between ORP and pH for Calcium reactor.
The base system already comes with a pH monitor for the tank.
The first thing you need to find out from your led fixture is if it uses analog or PWM dimming signal. There are two technologies.
Then, you need to find out how many dimmable channels you will want to control.
The base system comes with 2. If you need more than 2, you will need a dimming expansion module.
Each dimming expansion module offers another 6 channels.
For each Tunze or LED dimming channel you want to control, you will need a channel.
So, let's say you want to control 4 Tunzes and 8 LED channels for a total of 12 individually controlled channels. You will need 2 dimming expansion modules.
The lights on a timer is pretty straight forward. The only thing you will have to watch is total wattage in each relay box. It can handle 1000W max. So, if you use a couple of 400W MH ballasts and a return pump, you will definitelly need a second relay box for the heaters and other stuff.
The salinity and pH/ORP module is being released in a week or so.

Awesome i really appreciate the help.
So i have to pick between ORP and Ph? Can i hook up two different PH probes? one for the tank and one for the calc reactor?

Will it be possible to have both ORP and PH soon?
If so would that upgrade be available with the reef angel unit i would purchase now?

Yes, you can have either 2 pH probes or 1 pH and 1 ORP if you get the pH/ORP module.
If you want to have 2pH probes and 1 ORP probe, it would have to be a special order module.
It won't cost anything extra for the special order, but there will be a lead time of 2 weeks or so.

Ok, so now I'm bummed out. Just ordered mine with the ORP probe and it should be here tomorrow and I learn that I need to choose between the pH and ORP probe. Bummer! Guess I need to save up for the pH/ORP module.

Actually I'll have ORP module and pH module available at the webstore in a couple weeks.
I just changed the production to separate the two and make them independent modules, so that you can have both in the same system.

Great news. Looking forward to getting one. My new controller arrived today. I haven't set it up yet, but it looks great. Been reading the how to instructions in the forums and the support sections. Nicely constructed unit, fast shipping and the packaging was excellent!

Thanks a bunch!
