How does everyone handle auto water change? I'm about to downsize due to a new family member coming in 9 months and want to be as automated as possible (sleepless nights, etc ya know)

I'll have about 70 gallons of water volume with the new set up. I'd like to hit a 10% change every time I hit the water change button on the front of the RA.

Im not currently automating but i put RA in WC mode, which turns off return, skimmer and heater. I then drain my sump with a maxijet and then refill with salt water to same level. You could easily automate that part with either float switches or the new water sensor, then start everything back up. Skimmer is on a delay so it doesn't run until the water level is back where it should be. Im thinking of one day getting an extra relay box with enough pumps to automate it all one day :) would be nice if we had a mini relay box like the apex pc4... *hint* *hint*

You're code? Are you using floats or new level?

No code...doing manually right now. Just reviewing my current steps and how i would automate...

Ill probably use a float switch when i do to be more accurate with the level...te water sensor will be in my ATO reservoir since that changes the most, and the main thing i want to monitor...

That would leave my ATO low float for making sure return section doesn't get too low and the ATO high to make sure i dont add too much water in the sump.

Know of any quality float switches? They would be for automation only.

I am using the new water level expansion and it's great... very accurate. I will be working on an auto water change when I consolidate with my temp tank and bring my other RA down (the RA+ one). It seems pretty straight forward. I just need to better understand timers and then I should be able to breeze through it.
