hey guys,
im a complete newb with these thing go but i got everything setup via the wizard.....and couldn't be happier....i calibrated the ph probe i forget the numbers but when i put it in my tank it showed my ph @7.1 i quickly checked my tank with fluid and it showed 8ish color chart. so i went out bought more calibration fluid redid it again and still same thing so i left it how it was till i would have some time to post this stuff left the prob in my sump. while it was read around 7 it was very iradic up down like from 8-5.9. yesterday i looked at the reef angel and its showing my ph as 1.09. i took it out of sump to calibrate it place it in 7 solution and it read 0. check the connection for it in handheld unit seem in there. while typing this i have left it in the solution and 10 mins later its actually reading something now it was reading 80 now its up to 283 and rising.....so im not deleting
everything i just type but will update in like 1/2 hour and see what happens.....any input up untill now will be greatly appreciated....
just finished the ph7 calibration and the # was 380

If your looking at the main screen and put the Ph probe in the 7.0 calibration solution and let is stabilize what does it read?
Rinse the probe and then place it in the 10.0 solution while looking at the main screen what does it read?
If its not close to 7.0 and 10.0 I would probably calibrate and check again and if they don't match I would figure the probe is bad..

ok i took it out of the sump ph was reading 3.23
dipped it in ro still reading 3.23
placed in ph10 still 3.23
completely submerged in ro still 3.23 swooshing it around in ro it started to go up
replaced in ph10 it slowly started to rise right now its @ 9.33 and still rising slowly.......right now its @ 9.88
rinsed in ro water and placed in ph7 is down to 7.18 now just after a couple seconds
im thinking the ph probe is faulty...... i shouldnt need to move it around to start the reading should i? i have never had an electronic water tester what do you think?

in the cup it stabilized @ 8.02 after a few mins i just reinstalled in sump and it seems to still be functioning and reading 8.0 in sump
do you know what would cause the probe not to function unless its stirred around? is it something im doing wrong?

Sorry man.
PM me for RMA number.
This last batch of pH probes was just a crappy one. I threw them away already and should have more from another supplier this week.

i never could get my pH probe to function correctly, even after replacement. I finally just gave up on it because tank was running fine and no need to chase ph anyways.

Roberto just an FYI, mine's been flakey as well recently. I calibrated two weeks ago and was doing fine, but today, it's been all over the place. Last time it happened was right after a water change, this time it was out of the blue.
Check this graph, you'll see what I mean..
