it was only blinking green slowly with an ocational orange blink, but i was seeing it on the network using a n app called fing to see ip's on the network. after hard reset, green and blue flash like as if i just bought it.

but still get ** ERROR - Please disconnect and then reconnect the Reef Angel Wifi Attachment from the USB-TTL cable and try again

This is exactly the same issue I am having. My wifi works fine but it can't be read when I need to make a change (which I do need to do soon)

I should add a trick for you butcherman. I can't connect with the wifi util to my unit, however if you use Dave's tool instead, while it won't read your settings or give you ANY feedback that its doing anything, the settings you apply to the unit are actually being applied. Its REALLY weird.

Yes, can you give Dave's utility a try?
You can get it on the contribution section of the website.
Also, would you be able to try Tera Term and see if your get any reply back from the module??

Problem sorted! I striped and cleaned the wifi board there was a white residue on it (maybe salt) work straight away.
