ok so its been about 2 monthes since i had my wifi set up....

the portal would not work since i set it up.... but i could use the iphone app which was fine. i would check my tank control relays all on my phone. it was great. on the app it would not graph. im wondering if it doesnt graph because the portal doesnt work. on the portal i have tried both the 3g code and the wif ip neither would work. last night i saw the 3.0 client. which look really cool. the only reef angel programs i have on my computer is the orignal downloads. the code generator and the wizard. i dont believe i have one of the previous client programs.
i downloaded the 3.0 put if my 3g ip address that roberto helped me setup the port forwarding. after i downloaded it it would connect to my r/a. i tried changing the wifi info on the client but while i was doing it my internet stopped working. im not sure if it was a coincidence or if some how the client to my wifi (router offline). i couldnt get into the router via wifi and didnt show my wifi name. at that point i put it down for the night.
this morning i woke up and still nothing so i unplugged my router and reset it. the internet immediately started work. i jumped on the iphone app to check my tank and nothing no connection. i then logged into my router and checked it. the ip address changed from xxx.xxx.1.9 to xxx.xxx.1.3. i test the connection through the router and tested fine. i opened a web browser and put in xxx.xxx.1.3:2000 and it said the reef angel (i forget the next 2 words) then i tried xxx.xxx.1.3:2000/wifi and it would time out connection. I checked my open port with the ip address from before and it says closed :/ is this from resetting the router changed everything that we had setup? is there any easy fix to get it to work again? my banner never worked either... is this related to the portal not work slong with the graphs? for setting up the 3.0 client do i use the 3g ip or my wifi? sorry for the life story just wanna give you guys as much info to help me as possible. the library that i have is v. 1.0.2 i believe i know its defiantely starts with 1.xxxxx also all my code was created by the wizard and i did enter my screen name for here. thank you so much for your help,

If the portal doesn't receive data from the controller, your graphs and banners are not going to be populated.
They all depend on data that is being sent to the portal server.
If the router changed the ip address, you will also need to change the ip address on your phone to the same ip address... xxx.xxx.1.3
This will make your iphone work inside your wifi.
For 3g, you will need to reconfigure the port forwarding in the router to point to the new ip address.

Why would the iPhone app work great outside the home network but the portal not get the graph updates or banner updates? I can look on my portal and the relays are correct as well.

I had an issue in the past because i overwrote the portal timer so data wasnt being sent to portal. I think you'll need to post your code.

3 possible causes:
1. There is no ReefAngel.Portal("username"); in your code
2. You set a security key on the Portal settings and did not update your code with ReefAngel.Portal("username","key");
3. The wifi attachment is missing the DNS and/or host ip address. You can use Dave's utility and reconfigure these settings by clicking the button "Save Remote Settings". Use reefangel.com option

Got It.. Used CoolTerm since I don't have a windows computer in the house.. Reset those, also turned off portal key on portal and reprogrammed head unit to not use key..

man you guys are great...i remembered what roberto did to set up my port forwarding so i redid that took me 2 times but checked the open port ok. then i changed the info on phone and portal to get rid of security code and bam the graphs and charts work. logged into 3.0 put in all the information and everything works great. now 3 last question(for now lol)....
1) can i change setting on stuff on the relay box and leds with using the portal, iphone app and 3.0 client without going through the wizard on laptop hooking up the wire and all that?
2) last week i bought the mp10esw water pump for my tank...how easy is it to setup the rf communicator for it?
is it just a matter of plugging it in and running it through the wizard? i know nothing about writing codes
3) i have a honda race car that has a wide band mointer that i hook up to the computer while on the 3/0 client i press the error code section and it opens that program any idea why?

You can change the settings as long as you create and upload a code on the Wizard with internal memory settings.
