PH Probe won't calibrate

Post by treetopflyn »

My probe got out of calibration about the time I started messing with the codes. I bought some 7.0 & 10.0 solution and tried to re-calibrate and it won't. No mater which solution it's in it reads the same numbers. Once I cancel the screen on the controller just bounces between 7.0 & 10.0 Could it have went bad already? It's only a few months old.
Or could it have to do with the new code?

Does the bulb in the tip look intact and has no bubbles inside of it?

Where can I purchase the calibration fluid? It seems that this should come with the unit, since it is necessary inorder for the unit to function. Unless the unit comes calibrated. Is it calibrated out of the box?

It's calibrated for standard use.
If you want a more precise measurements you will need to get it calibrated.

The wifi uses another port.
It comes with one temp probe.
I would highly recommend not pluggibg more than one driver/ballast per port.
Inrush current is your enemy.

Why do you highly recommend only 1 driver per input. I have 2 and 2 , 4 total. Should I not do this?

I have this same problem. Calibrated it with solution then after a few months it started dropping now reads crazy numbers 1.7 to 7. Tried re calibrating with new solution but it doesn't read it change numbers. Think it's broke

Each driver draws about 30 to 40A of inrush current when initially turned on.
You can look up on the datasheet. Each driver/ballast is different and Icecaps are known to draw a whole lot. In my experience, they are the worst.
The more drivers you plug in each relay port, the more current it will draw. The current is so high that it creates a spark. The spark in turn generates heat on that single point of impact and the contacts fuse together. So, if you plug 2 or more drivers, the relays are going to wear out faster and it may die prematurely.
