wifi not connecting to app

Yesterday my wife accidentally disconnect my router but she connected it right away but now I cannot connect to it with the app im currently out of town so I'm using the app on the away mode. The light on the wifi adapter still blinks green so it's still connected. I tried powering off the controller with no success

I think the router assigned a new ip address to your wifi attachment when it got rebooted.
You will need to reconfigure the port forwarding.

So is this gonna happend every time power goes off

It doesn't necessarily happen every time your reouter reboots/looses power but it's possible. Depending on your router you can usually set a permanent lease for a specific MAC address. I did that with my wifi module and haven't had a problem since. It's been pretty close to a year, if not longer.
