I first tried uploading the sketch that the wizard created and this is the error I got...

avrdude done. Thank you.

I have the USB to TTL Cable connected with the black lead to the right most pin on the connection.
The 2 left pins are open.

Then I tried to upload the WiFi Test Code and got this error...

Now I never see the head unit re-boot.
As a matter of fact there are no lights or anything on the head unit.

Which controller do you have? Sounds like you have the wrong board selected.

Sorry. I thought I covered all the questions.
I have the RA+ and the software is set to Reef Angel Plus Controller.

Does the controller reboot a few seconds after you hit upload?

According to the Arduino interface yes, but like I said I don't see activity on the head unit.
No lights, no LCD screen. Am I supposed to or not?

Here is a video of what is going on on the program interface...

You must have the controller turned on to be able to program it.

Ok. I feel like an idiot, but I can't figure out how to turn the head unit on.

I don't see any switches on it.

I have the USB-TTL cable plugged in. I heard my computer go "bodoink" when I plugged the USB cable in.

There is no power light or status light. The LCD screen is not light up.

I tried pushing the joystick in to see if that was the on/off button. Nothing.

HELP.

The power is provided when plugged into a plugged in relay box.

Do you have the RA+? It should have shipped with a USB power cable that you plug into one of the temp probes if you need power at your computer.

I thought I ordered the. RA+.
I don't see any cable like you are talking about in my package.

Is there a way to tell looking at it?

Then you'll need to have it plugged into the relay box

OK. I got the RA + board.
Installed it and plugged it into the relay box.
I got power n the head unit and the LCD is on.
Plugged the TTL-USB connection in to the head unit and my laptop.
I loaded the Wifi Test code and tried to upload it.

I got the following error...

"Serial port Com 3 is already in use. Try quitting any programs that may be using it."

I don't know of anything that would be using it.

I seem to remember having this problem at one time awhile ago. I have multiple usb ports on my laptop so I think I moved the TTL-USB cable to a different USB port and it started working.
