Proper PH probe install?

Post by kirkwood »

What is the proper way to install the pH probe. It wants to float so I wasn't sure if I could just let it float in the sump or if I have to figure a way to keep it submerged?

I don't think it matters as long as the tip is submerged. Maybe zip-tie it to something in your sump?

Should the Ph Probe be used with the plastic cap on or off? I was reading the calibration instructions about unscrewing the plastic cap at the end to dip the tip in the calibration solutions and it made me wonder if the plastic cap should be utilized during normal operation.

Thanks.

You mean the bottle that comes on the probe? It's just for shipping. Take it off.

haha.. i have been using the bottle the whole time... I just got my 7/10 calibration fluid so I guess I will do that tonight. For calibration I just follow the prompts on the RA screen?

Yep. Be sure to let the number settle before going on to the next one. And be sure to move the joystick to the OK button when you switch. I think it defaults to Cancel, so if you just click it will exit. This will make more sense when you're doing it.
