Hi There

I've just connected up my Reef Angel controller. It's the basic model and attached the AI cable to the ATO low port. Went through the RA wizard to setup the code for the lights. When its all connected the lights just stay on at 100% all three colors. There is no menu option to adjust the lights that I can see, nor do the lights dim as per the code setup. I have turned off the whites and just have the blues on for testing, but all three come on.

Not sure what I'm missing? any help appreciated

Can you choose to go with hard coded settings while we troubleshoot?

Yes absolutely I'm cycling the tank at the moment so happy to just have blue and royal blue on

Hi Roberto...after doing some troubleshooting I suspect its the AI cable that is not communicating to the Sols. The menu on the RA unit shows the lights at various dim levels however the lights are on at 100%. I have tried to set it both on the low and high ATOports to no avail. Is there a way for me to test the cable?

Do you a meter to test continuity?

Yes I do. How should I do the test? Do I just check there is a signal over the cable?

Please disconnect the cable from RA and AI Sol.
Can you check continuity on the two leads of the wire?

Ok I'll check it . There is a yellow and white cable .which relates to the tip of the stereo jack?

Hi Roberto the cable is faulty I get continuity on the white but not the yellow cable
