wave pattern on LCD and/or Portal / Droid App

Is there any way to display the current wave pattern on the lcd, and /or on the Portal? I guess I would have to submit a feature request for the handheld interface?

Currently we don't even have it anything that would tell which mode you are using.
Anyone has ideas on how to best implement this?
Should we create a new class? If so, how would we name it?

Just a idea but can I set a variable when I set my mode the just display that variable on the lcd?

You can.
Other users have done just that for displaying RF modes.
