Got my new Wifi today. I understand that they do not play well with Fios routers so I hooked up a Dlink router and established a new SSID for that router and tested it has a valid internet connection.

When I run the setup wizard it tells me that my IP address is 0.0.0.0 and that port 2000 is now being forwarded. i know this cant be true. obviously its not a valid IP.

Suggestions?

Just make sure you are using WPA2-PSK with AES encryption. I've seen other security settings give problems like the one you mentioned.
Also, make sure that you enable b &g networks. The module is not n compatible.
