I've always had issues with the probe and stray voltage.
However, I've just double checked today, and my ph reads 3.7 no matter what I do. If I unplug/unscrew the probe, it still reads 3.7. If I put the probe in a separate cup, no difference.
Do I need a new probe?
Need a new ph probe?
Re: Need a new ph probe?
While stray voltage does affect the probe, if it's reading 3.7 no matter what you do it's time to replace it. I'm mine was rock solid, dead accurate for about 10 months and I'm reading 3.62 in the tank, sump, or outside the tank in a cup of tank water. New one should be here tomorrow.
