Hi guys got the RA Status app VRS. 0.9.5 installed on a Note 3 Samsung for about a year now, everything works fine except the commands section, in particular I'm trying to use the "Feeding Mode" when selected it has no effect but if i check the the main relay page on the app, it actually shows the channels that are allocated to "Feed Mode" are turned off eg. pumps wave maker etc. but it is actually not turning them off. it also show on the flags page that feed mode is active.

any help would be great as I'm sick of turning everything on and off manually.

thanx !

just to be clear, when you press feeding mode, the app connects to your controller. the app shows the ports off but the ports do not actually get turned off. is that correct?
do you hear the ports toggle off and then back on?
you can manually turn them on/off though, right?

that seems odd. can you enter feeding mode from the controller itself? I'm thinking maybe you have an issue with your feeding mode timer being set to 1 second or something very short. can you check that value?

Yes that is correct, I can enter feed mode from the unit directly with no issues at all. I can manually turn the ports on and off, cannot here relays toggle on and off ???

how long is the feeding mode timer set for?
i have not heard of this happening. try to toggle the feeding mode the same way the app does which is via the web command.
try issuing this command:

Code: Select all

http://YOURIP:PORT/mf
where YOURIP is your controller's ip address and PORT is the port (typically 2000).

that means that there was an error when the controller was trying to enter feeding mode from the wifi interface. I'm not positive as why this is happening, maybe roberto has an idea.

Very weird.
Are you using the latest libs?
ERR would occur if you try to enter feeding mode but you are already in feeding or water change mode.

Sorry, I just re-read the OP.
If it has been a year, it could be very well the libs version.
I think there was a patch at some point in time within this year timeframe.
Did you try reloading the same code?
You can see what version your libraries are running in the head unit if you press the joystick and go to menu version.
You can also see what version of libraries you have installed in your computer by going to menu Tools->Reef Angel Libraries Version.
Make sure they are both 1.1.0, which is the latest version.
