pH probe

Is there a life span for pH probes? Mine is hardly 2years old and does not register the correct pH values. I have tried to calibrate the probe with pH 7 and pH 10 buffer solutions (Milwaukee). During calibration the number keeps going up and down and does not stabilize at all. I have rinsed the probe in RO water. I have checked the tank pH using handheld pH probes and it registers values of 8.3 to 8.5, while the probe connected to RA registers a value of 3 to 4 only. Is it time to get a new probe?

Yep. 2 years is ripe old age for a pH probe. Time for a new one.
