Using dimming module with a day controller

So I moved on from the reef angel however I still have the dimming module. I am looking to make a controller for my diy led on my frag tank but I do not want to purchase a new reef angel but build a basic system. What kind of input does the dimming module receive from the main system.? Does it just receive a analog signal for each dimming channel? Looking to build a controller for 25 bucks so hoping to attach this to a basic audrino board...

I believe it takes i2c input. You should be able to reuse a lot of code from the libraries

What arduino board would be able to handle this?

I have one with LCD. $35 shipped, if you're in the US.

Colin I am interested if anyone can tell me what power I would need to power the board since I will no longer have the relay box to power it. looing at the drawings I can see where I need to jump between the usb an the 15 pin, just not sure what power and what pins to jump it to.

5V to one of the temp probe ports. See the USB power cable in the store.
