Relay Box with PWM?

I know at least one of my 3 relay boxes has it. How do I tell which one without taking the system down to compare all 3?

If it has screws on the top cover, it has it.
The older ones had screws in the bottom cover.

Roberto, I think all of my boxes look the same. I'm a reef angel legacy owner. I added the PWM later. PWM was pretty new at the time.

Well, you were right. I have 1 box with screws on the top cover and two with screws on the bottom. If I remember correctly, you sent me a booster for one of my early boxes. Are all of these boxes PWM? Or are they analog? I am trying to wrap my head around PWM vs analog dimming.

What about the I/O expansion? Are these PWM but only up to 5V?

The one with screws on top is a new one and would have the booster built-in.
They would be PWM dimming.
The I/O can't generate PWM nor analog signals. You would need the dimming module.

Thanks Roberto! I think one of other ones might have it too, but I suppose I'd have to open it to find out.

Two other hopefully quick questions:
1. If I have two PWM boxes, can I control 4 channels? Or am I only able to use the two on the primary box?
2. Do you know if PWM allow "deep dimming"? I'm trying to find a solution to replicate radion's ability to smoothly dim to moonlight.

Only the main box.
The only drivers I know that can do that are the LDD and SteveLED and they are both 0-5V PWM.

I'd never thought about LDD. I'm moving in that direction with research now. So the older boxes that I have are PWM as well only up to 5V? Or are they possible analog? I'll probably end up needing to buy a couple more items (building my shopping list now). I have done "D" series drivers that I ran on my last tank using the RA. Maybe that was a mistake, but I could have sworn we discussed it back when I was brand new with the RA.

The older boxes probably don't have a booster at all. It was an optional item in the past.
Depending on which revision, you maybe able to make it 0-5V PWM by adding 2 jumpers or 0-10V PWM with an add-on booster board, which you would need to PM me to get a hold of one.
You would need to see which revision it is that you've got.

I have old relay box and I have 0-10 PWM booster. Is there an easy way to make it 0-10 Analog? Maybe a simple replacement of the 0-10 PWM booster to 0-10 Analog booster&converter? Or something that can be put past RA controller to smooth signal to analog before it reaches drivers?
My SB Reef basic light are flickering (I guess due to PWM).

Open the relay box and give me the revision written on the board or send a photo.

There is no version that I can see.

Booster is shown in bottom right corner.
This is the booster I have.

You are going to have to get a new box or make another pcb booster daughter board that has the analog conversion.
