Just wondering if i set up the free service on the page, will it make connecting to the portal easier since I do not have a static internet connection at this time?

thanks

Yes, it will. The reason for that is your IP address from your ISP will change periodically. Those IP's are dynamically assigned. Each time it changes, you will have to update your client and the portal in order for it to work again. If you use the free dynamic IP addresses, you set the domain name in the app and portal. You have a client / service running on your router or your PC that updates your IP if it ever changes. This way there is only a minimal downtime (if any) with your connections and it is updated automatically for you.

I personally use this for my home and work networks since they are dynamically assigned IP's. That's how the test router that I have online is accessed. I had my home IP address change every day for a couple days when I was updating the router software on my router.

It's a huge time saver if you do it....at least from my perspective and I think a majority of people would agree with me.

Yep. I've used it at home for 4 or 5 years and no problems.
