Re: Reef Angel Regular time
awesome! it works! thanks! one more question. because this is the regular version of RA and not the RA+, can i do a custom screen? i am finding that graph in the screen unnecessary. I am trying to label each port on my power bar. #include <ReefAngel_Features.h> #include <Globals.h> #include <RA_Wifi...

Reef Angel Regular time
I picked up a used RA for my freshwater aquarium just to do some real basic stuff. Version is V1.1.0 and the Arduino is libaries V1.1.0. I can't seem to change the time on it. Unlike my RA+, there isn't an option under time for me to change it. Do i need to update the firmware or something? I am sur...

Re: SpeedWave/Jebao DC pumps
I was thinking about this. Its really a piggy back on Roberto's single drain Herbie type overflow. If you're not familiar with the Herbie overflow, it uses 2 or 3 drains. The idea is to use the water level module and the DC pump to you're advantage and get rid of all your mp40 and other wave making ...

Re: Multi Channel Water Level - Max Pipe's Height
i see, so its not a simple on/off.
if i get mcwlm, can i program the RA to turn on/off a piece of equipment during a certain percentage?
how accurate and reliable is this? should i have multiple fail safes like an extra float switch?
thanks!

Re: Multi Channel Water Level - Max Pipe's Height
I am too thinking about getting this and getting rid of my ATO float switches since they are unreliable. Are these very similar to an air switch that you can get at home depot? Are they more reliable than float switches? What is the minimum length of the 1/2" pvc tube with pvc adapter? Does the...

Thanks Roberto! It worked great. I love the new screens. Tbh, I didn't like the reef angel display. Now with the new changes, it's great. I do t have to squint no more. Love the lightning effects.

Re: Quick Tips from a newbie, for the newbies...
so tell me if i got this right. for users that doesn't have the wifi module, using the internal memory path is unnecessary because if you do need to change a function, you will still need to hook it up to your computer and upload the new code. might as well upload your pde file instead. where as if ...

so for those who already own it, can it go down to 10% before cutting off?
I love my wp40s and the power they provide. But i definitely don't need them at 50% at night.

i really don't like the idea of constant... makes me feel like i got a koralia instead of a dc pump. so i guess there is no way to shut down one of the pumps without taking out the power?

Re: DC pump shutting down
i think you're partially correct. when on lagoon mode and i set the power to 50%, the wp40 does not work. I raised it to 55% and its been working great. so now I got a problem, the wp40 is to powerful at night. during the daytime its fine, but at night i would prefer the water to be a bit calmer. do...

I uploaded the new code. The wp40 works fine in reefcrest, when it goes to lagoon, it shuts down the pump. The DP and AP still has a percentage next to it.

DC pump shutting down
The pumps do not run. The only time it runs is after feeding mode when the NTM is enabled. I got this code off another member from the forum. Can someone tell me what i did wrong. BTW, according to the display, the DP and AP has numbers next to it. I guess it means that it should be running. I am re...

Re: Dimming module install question
I guess you are referring to the -V in the picture below when you say ground and not the actual ground coming from the VAC next to the neutral and live.
I am using 2 power supplies, should each one have a -V going to the ground on the dimming module?
Thanks!

Dimming module install question
So got my RA+ in and trying to install my dimming module to a ldd driver board. I know on the dimming modules, the first 6 slots is for channels 0-5 and the last 3 slots are for the ground. Looking at the board i got, the top green slots are for LED output, bottom left is vdc input and bottom right ...

Re: Help explaining the hardware
Correct. You can control them individually through your code, but you won't be able to see at what % each channel is at. Only the 6 channels of one module are displayed. The 16 channel module was a special order for another reefer. The module was specifically made to work on 0-5VDC PWM signals, so ...

Re: Help explaining the hardware
Even though the hardware is capable of doing 2 dimming modules, the library doesn't support this yet. This means you would still be able to control the channels just fine, but you would not have a way to see the channels in the portal or the apps. Only the 1st dimming module shows up right now. sor...

Re: Help explaining the hardware
It depends on your drivers. Most though do turn off at 15-0% Also right mow you will only have 6+2 dimming channels. So unless you can combine some of your driver channels you may want to talk to Roberto about a custom dimming channel. I know he's working on a 16 channel but not sure if thats gonna...

I am looking to purchase a new controller and I think the Reef Angel is what I need. I just have some questions regarding what hardware I need to purchase. This is what I need my controller to do. 1.
