Re: USB TTL programming documentations

If I keep listening to the serial port, I can get something like it occasionally: GET /status/submitp.aspxt1=784&t2=761&t3=0&ph=794&id=zsxking&em=0&em1=0&rem=0&bid=1&key=&ddns=&af=0&sf=0&atohigh=0&atolow=0&r=209&ron=0&roff=255&p...

Re: USB TTL programming documentations

i have a regular linux desktop environment working, so having it work on the pi should be doable. How do you develop in your linux environment? Do I just write to the usb serial port like "GET /sa" then read from it? Don't have too much experience working with serial. Would you mind provi...

Re: USB TTL programming documentations

Have you tried using USB TTL from a linux environment like from Raspberry Pi? I was trying to use minicom to connect to it, but not seem to be able to communicate. My settings are | A - Serial Device : /dev/ttyUSB0 | B - Lockfile Location : /var/lock | C - Callin Program : | D - Callout Program : | ...

USB TTL programming documentations

Hi,

Is there any documentation of how to read data via USB TTL cable and write data to it? I want to write a server to use Raspberry Pi to monitor and control reefangel.

Thanks,

Re: Evergrow/Reefbreeders LED 0-10v expansion dimming

Does this work with PWM dimming port? I only have RA+ with PWM. Do I need to either get the dimming expansion or another relay box with analog dimming to make this work?

PH calibration sudden shift, broken?

I have been running reef angel for couple months, and having a kind of stable PH, 8.3 before light off and 8.0 before light on. But this morning the ph reads 8.5, unusually high. My first suspect is the sensor error. So I tested the 7.0 calibration solution, read 7.8. Then I recalibrated it and it r...

Re: Inaccurate PH sensor?

I finally found out that my sensor's read was correct. I thought my tank's ph was 8.2 because I use filtered nature sea water. I also have a brine shrimp culture that is highly aerated. When testing its ph with calibrated probe, it reads 8.0, while my tank's reading is 7.6. So it's my tank has ph pr...

Re: Inaccurate PH sensor?

I finally get to test around stray voltage. The meter did show a 1.7v voltage. It's that considered high? I try to test water in a cup, only 0.01 difference.

I also bought another ph probe from eBay. But it basically give the same result, reading the tank ph as 7.6 ~ 7.7 after calibration.

Inaccurate PH sensor?

My PH sensor seems not working probably, always gives reading around 7.6 while the actual value is 8.1~8.2 from API kit. The tank is looking good so I don't think 7.6 is anywhere close to true value. I have used 3 different kinds of PH solutions to calibrate many times, every time give similar value...
