Re: 2 or more RF Modules at the same time
Roberto, I am finally getting back to this after a bit of a break. I tried initially to get this to work but it didn't, so I have been running the Vortechs on my primary tank on manual mode rather than controlling through the RA while I sorted out some other issues. I tried to run it again today. I ...

Re: Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
We will actually have three RF modules working all within the same area. We have a 180g, a 90g and there will be a combined 120g (three tank split) that will be going in in the fall to consolidate out quarantine, frag and our new stings and predator tank. All of these are within 30ft of each other s...

Re: Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
The DC pump has no flow on feeding mode and stays at ReefCrest 80, 20 during night mode. I am also having a little trouble with my Vortech pumps. We have two separate tanks with two RA controllers running in the basement. Each RA has the RF module installed and controls the Vortech pumps for each ta...

Re: Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
Yes the Vortech pumps work fine. I thought I had tried removing the first Reefcrest before, but for some reason I got very little flow. I'll give it a try again and see if anything changes.

Re: Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
For some reason I get no pump flow during feeding mode and the speed does not slow down at night as I would like. I wonder if it has something to do with me calling the Reef Crest mode at the beginning of the loop at it probably always reverts back top this except when it is in feed mode, where I ge...

Re: Salinity error
Well, crimping the new end didn't work and was going to ask for RMA, but after I took the proble out of the water and left it aside, I ended up cracking the tip end
I will therefore head to the RA store and buy a new probe...
Thanks for checking into this for me Roberto!

Re: Salinity error
I don't mind trying to crimp another one here because it might save on the shipping costs to send it back from Ontario, Canada. HOwever, if it turns out not to be the connector does the offer of an RMA stand if I've cut the connector off and tried to reconnect? If I go this route, what is the size o...

Re: Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
Okay thanks, I figured there would be a difference between the two. Does that mean that reefcrest will not work? I'm looking for something a little random in terms of flow, it doesn't need to be instantaneous, but variable and random would be nice. Also, if we go with constant at slow speeds for nig...

Re: Salinity error
Here are some pictures. The tip of the probe appears fine, but when I disconnected the BNC i noticed that it was very loose and I can actually move the pin in an out. Is this fairly easy to fix myself. It may need a new BNC connector and just clip the cord? Pictures located here: https://www.icloud....

Speedwave Pump for Closed Loop
Hi, I recently acquired a Speedwave 10000lph pump for my closed loop system. It pulls water from two 1.5" drains and pushes the water back into the tank through four 1" return lines. I have purchased the Jebao cable from RA and connected to the daylight port. I am running Vortech pumps as ...

Re: Salinity error
I have finally got my 180g up and running but I'm having similar issues with my salinity probe. It is connected to the salinity module through an extension, but with or without the extension I still end up having it read at 5.9 on the main display. Trying to calibrate the probe only gives me a zero ...

No temperature readings
Hi, I've just uploaded my code to a new controller (after loading the initial memory settings) and I'm getting 0 for my Temp 1 and Error for my Temp 2 and Temp 3 readings. This is the same code that I have been using on the other units, so I don't think it's the code, unless something changed in the...

Re: Weird Wifi Setup Issues
Awesome, thanks!
I generally use WPA2-PSK but was having a hard time connecting and thought that might be it. Forgot to change it back.
Apparently this is not in the manual that I'm reading on the downloads page. Where is this new manual located?

Weird Wifi Setup Issues

Control 2 tanks?
I currently have my RA+ controlling my main tank, but will be adding a frag tank that is on the same wall but about 15 feet from the head unit location. I would like to have an relay expansion module, temperature probe and ph probe on the frag tank. The expansion hub is located in the stand of my ma...

Re: New Code - Some Troubles and Questions
Okay, we've got the RA hooked up to the tank and all appears to be running fine except for one issue with the lights on menu item (see code above). When selected the whites, blues and fuge light are supposed to turn on, which they do, but when returning to the standard screen or exiting out of the m...

Re: New Code - Some Troubles and Questions
I've made a couple of changes as I was having some issues displaying the speed settings. I figure some of the variables are redundant and I can get rid of them eventually, but first I want to make sure it runs smoothly. My issue right now is that it doesnt' seem to go into night mode once the time h...

New Code - Some Troubles and Questions
I've been working on a new PDE for my son's tank and I've run into some issues that I'm looking for help on. I have set up a custom menu to include two menu items that increment the RF Mode and Speed on the Vortech pumps each time they are selected. The Mode increases by 1 and cycles around to the b...

Roberto, I'm still in test mode (slow progress due to work schedule), but getting closer to the final setup that I'd like to be using. Received my salinity module today and noticed that the cord on the probe is on the short side. Do you have an extension available - would the PH extension be useable for the salinity probe?

Re: Power outage alert
Would a similar situation exist for the PWM expansion module? The module is powered by a 12v power supply - is there any way to determine if power is being supplies to this module or not?
