electronic pvc gate valves

Post by rossbryant1956 »

If a person had too much money, and no common sense at all, and wanted to buy some 3/4 inch electronically controlled gate valves, where would he go?

I envision being able to use my Reef Angel to change a couple of valves and re-route some water flows in a series on tanks I want to build...

Anyone done this? Know where to get the parts? What are your ideas?

Thx in advance.

Are they pressurized lines or not?
If pressurized, you can get any valve with a solenoid.
If not, you will probably need a spring loaded valve of some sort.
Call grainger and they should be able to get you what you need.

not really pressurized, two are return lines, one is a water line from like a eheim 1262. Can I drive the solenoids with my Reef Angel?

Thx

Yeah, you can ask them for 12VDC solenoids and use any 12VDC walwart to drive the solenoids.
Call them and make sure to tell them you are working with very low psi to non existant psi.
