Where is a good place to get the PH and Sal. calibration solutions. My readings are slight bit off from the test kits, and I was looking for a way to more accurately calibrate them. Other option might be a offset to correct this.

Ph Sal. calibration solutions or readling offsets

Get the hanna solutions.

I bought mine from bulk reef supply

Re: Ph Sal. calibration solutions or readling offsets
I have done the calibrations.
The PH looks better now. but the salinity is still reading high.
With RO water I get 6, and with the 1.35 calibration solution it get 35. when I putt the probe back in the tank it reads 25.7 but with the hydrometer and refractometer i am more in the range of 22 and ideas here?

I don't think hydrometers can measure salinity, can they?
Are you looking at specific gravity or salinity?

Re: Ph Sal. calibration solutions or readling offsets
you are right i am used to dealing with SG not salinity. Looking at it that way the number make more sense.
thanks for the help.

Re: Ph Sal. calibration solutions or readling offsets
I am still have problems with this. I have brought my salt level up. I am now at the following readings
my hydrometer is reading 1.024 SG, the refractiometer is reading 1.025 SG. The tank temp is at 78 Deg F or 25.5 Deg C.
Using these web sites I am showing a salinity of 33 to 35, but the Salinity probe is showing 29.

Not sure where to go to with this now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Ph Sal. calibration solutions or readling offsets
Is it showing 29 after calibration?
You must calibrate it on 35ppt solution.
If your tank is at 35ppt, you can use your own tank water as calibration solution.
In which case, you can just dip the probe in your sump and go through calibration.
