ATO problems

I have had my RA running for months now without problems. I have not changed any coding for months. Starting this weekend my ATO started turning on even when the float switch was up. Thankfully I have a timer set on my ato pump or I would have had a nice little flood. I started looking in to it more today and noticed that my switch is now reading backwards. When the float is up it is reading as on; when it is down it is reading as off. Any ideas on how this complete flip could happen? Really makes no sense to me because I have not changed a single thing.

Did you clean it recently?
If you flip the float, it should invert the function.

no changes at all. just typical water changes. Makes no sense to me. I guess I will just run it with the switch inverted and see what happens. maybe it will switch back to normal again after a few days haha. who knows.

hooked up new float switch yesterday and all is good once again

yeah the floats that come with the RA are junk.
