Low voltage from outlets

Post by stevengreen2 »

I noticed some of my heaters were not working on my relay box. I broke out my multimeter and I am only gett 2.5 AC from my ports. I checked the current going in to the relay box and I am getting 120 AC current. Any ideas?

Can you test it with ControllerTester code?
File->Sketchbook->Example Codes->ControllerTester

What do you mean?
Did you use joystick and tested each port?

Yeah, I went through all the ports and 3 of them posted really low voltage. The rest of them posted like 119 AC voltage on my tester. I opened the box to see if anything looked wrong but everything is clean and nothing looks bad at all.

Port 2 - 1.5
Port 3 - 120
Port 4 - 1.6
Port 5 - 120
Port 6 - 0

Port 8 - 120

Are you using the original SVGA cable?

No, I replaced it with a black one that I had. Should I put the original one back on?

Correct.
You must use a SVGA cable that has all 15 cores. Most of the cables available in the market are not suitable as they either do not use all pins or the short them out to cut costs :(

I replaced the old cable last night in panic because I needed to get stuff working before I went to bed and it all worked. Soooooo....I need to get a black cable. Do you think this would work? http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2
