New ATO pressure switch question

Post by clownfish »

I have few questions regarding this ATO switch.

As I understand new ATO switch uses pressure sensor.

But as we are using saltwater is this sensor protected against moisture and salt?
I know sensor don't come in direct contact with water but in time moist and salt will find it's way to it.
So what is approx estimated life cycle of that sensor in such conditions?

Which manufacturer and model of sensor you use in ATO?
Could be that sensor replaced after time or maybe even with better one?

What is the recommended length of silicone tube form sump to sensor?
As this tube is soft this also have some impact on measurement of water level?

Yes, pressure.
It is silica based and I don't think it would get affected.
The sensor is a freescale sensor and as usual easily available in the market :)
You can replace it with any other one with lower or higher range too.
I don't think the is a limit of length, but the longer, the more displacement of air you will need and bigger diameter pipe you will need to use.
Roberto.
