Display text sent over serial connection

I am trying to send some text characters over a serial connection and display them on the LCD screen. I can send numbers across and display them with DrawSingleMonitor,but I haven't had much luck with text. It displays correctly on the serial monitor, but I'm guessing I'm losing something in translation before I can display it on the LCD.

Use DrawText()
