Help the new guy out PLEASE! (DIY leds)

Post by reefixed »

So I'm struggling with my aquastyle DIY led kit.. I have every thing
put together but cannot for the life of me get these damn things to work
at all with the controller.. I have 18 blue and 18 white leds running
on seperate meanwell eln-60-48p drivers wired in 2 parallel strings
of 9 as suggested by aquastyle... I just recieved my pwm reef angel plus
a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a whole lot of time to tinker
with it but have been trying to play with the lights with the default settings
with not very good results (no results actually).. It seems to me that I'm not
getting power from the relay box to the lights... I can get the lights to come
on if I plug into the wall but can not control them with the head unit... Am I
completely missing something or is it possible the relay box is malfunctioning?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated... I also tried my moonlight strip with the relay box with
no success... HELP!!!!

Post your RA code. You might not have any PWM going to them OR your relays aren't on.
Out for now...but not over.

Not sure of the RA code.. I was trying to
get the lights running on the default settings
and haven't done a lick with coding. I am able
to manipulate the time of day and the light timing
from the head unit under the default settings but
nothing changes and
the lights will not do a thing... I've gone over
my wiring configurations and connections multiple
times and am 99% certain my diy job is not the
issue... Especially since I can't get the moonlight
strip to do anything either as I had nothing to do
with the wiring of that.. I plan on spending some time
figuring out how to use the RA to its fullest potential but
I was under the impression that I should be able to run
my lights on the default settings right out of the box..

Go to the download section on the website. Install the arduino program. Then open it and use the RA wizard to generate/upload the code. RA wizard is under tools at the top.
Out for now...but not over.
