Can't Upload any code.
I first tried uploading the sketch that the wizard created and this is the error I got...

Now I never see the head unit re-boot.
As a matter of fact there are no lights or anything on the head unit.

Can't Upload any code.
Which controller do you have? Sounds like you have the wrong board selected.
Re: Can't Upload any code.
Sorry. I thought I covered all the questions.
I have the RA+ and the software is set to Reef Angel Plus Controller.

Re: Can't Upload any code.
According to the Arduino interface yes, but like I said I don't see activity on the head unit.
No lights, no LCD screen. Am I supposed to or not?
Here is a video of what is going on on the program interface...

Re: Can't Upload any code.
You must have the controller turned on to be able to program it.
Roberto.
Re: Can't Upload any code.
Ok. I feel like an idiot, but I can't figure out how to turn the head unit on.
I don't see any switches on it.
I have the USB-TTL cable plugged in. I heard my computer go "bodoink" when I plugged the USB cable in.
There is no power light or status light. The LCD screen is not light up.
I tried pushing the joystick in to see if that was the on/off button. Nothing.
HELP.

Re: Can't Upload any code.
The power is provided when plugged into a plugged in relay box.
Do you have the RA+? It should have shipped with a USB power cable that you plug into one of the temp probes if you need power at your computer.

Re: Can't Upload any code.
I thought I ordered the. RA+.
I don't see any cable like you are talking about in my package.
Is there a way to tell looking at it?

Can't Upload any code.
Look at the part in the store for a visual reference. Its called USB power cable.
Can't Upload any code.
Then you'll need to have it plugged into the relay box
Re: Can't Upload any code.
OK. I got the RA + board.
Installed it and plugged it into the relay box.
I got power n the head unit and the LCD is on.
Plugged the TTL-USB connection in to the head unit and my laptop.
I loaded the Wifi Test code and tried to upload it.
I got the following error...
"Serial port Com 3 is already in use. Try quitting any programs that may be using it."
I don't know of anything that would be using it.

Re: Can't Upload any code.
I seem to remember having this problem at one time awhile ago. I have multiple usb ports on my laptop so I think I moved the TTL-USB cable to a different USB port and it started working.Sacohen wrote:OK. I got the RA + board.
