RA Environmental Specs

Post by clw143 »

How well does the RA controller head unit and wifi module hold in in various environments, I did not find any specs for either as most electronics would have. I was looking for temperature and humidity operating ranges. Could I keep it in an enclosed drawer with holes for the wires? I don't see any cooling slots or fins on it so I assume they do not produce much if any heat. I would be great if it had build in mounting capibilities to get it in the cabinet.

No specs for this? Is it bullet proof?

The controller is not water proof, so I would not use it anywhere enclosed where humidity would condense and damage the circuit.
It does not generate heat, so there is no need for fans or cooling. We don't power anything like LEDs or any power hungry chips, so there is barely no consumption. It's mostly in few hundred mA range at 5VDC.
