When my t5's turn on the atu pump goes crazy. I belive uts caused through induction voltage as the t5 wires run close to the float switch wires. Any thoughts?

T5 ballast causing ato troubles
Re: T5 ballast causing ato troubles
Have you tried moving the float wires away from the t5 wires?

I will have to do some rewiring.
But the issue goes away when the t5's are unplugged

I think I may be having the same issue but I'm using LEDs on PWM. I notice that my log shows that the ATO stops acting up once the lights dim down to 1% for the night. See my ATO relay log below, note that the actual water level was between the two floats this entire time.

The Portal only register events every 5 minutes.
If the event is quick, it won't register.
What I think you are seeing is just more evaporation during the day.

Re: T5 ballast causing ato troubles
I disagree. This happens anytime the high limit switch isn't active. I have about 2.5 days of evaporation between the switched. I think I'm getting this noise issue much more frequently than every 5 minutes but it just catches a few in the log. I'll try cleaning up the wiring to see what happens.
Re: T5 ballast causing ato troubles
Update: I'm in the process of switching my four led bars over to pwm control. The ATO issue is gone now that I disconnected one if my Chinese led drivers that was nearby the ato wiring.
